Open
to All
Free borrowing across Libraries in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea
What
is ‘Open To All’?
‘Open To All’ is an extension to the existing ‘ATLIS’ libraries
partnership. Under ‘Open To All’ you can join any of the participating
libraries listed below and borrow material, all for free!
What
do I have to do?
In order to join one of the other library services you will need:
- A valid
Public Library membership card from either Swansea Libraries or Neath
Port Talbot Libraries.
- A validated ‘Open
To All’ passport – available
from any Swansea or Neath Port Talbot public library.
Which
Libraries can I join?
Gorseinon College
Neath Port Talbot College
Neath Port Talbot Libraries
Swansea College
Swansea Libraries
Swansea Institute
Swansea University
What am I entitled to?
Each library has its
own rules & regulations, which you must agree
to abide by in order to take part in ‘Open To All’.
The amount and type of material you can borrow will vary between libraries,
but you can find full details of what to expect on the Libraries & Catalogues
Page.
Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, ‘Open To All’ membership
does not entitle you to use the computers and ICT facilities in many
of the academic libraries, again, up to date details can be found on
the Libraries & Catalogues Page.
Why should I join another Library?
Whether you are reading for leisure and pleasure, or learning and information,
Libraries will have something for you.
Every Library will hold a different stock of material, with different
titles and types of book. Some libraries will even hold unique collections
of special interest.
You can search most of the libraries catalogues from the links on the
Libraries & Catalogues Page. If you can’t find what you want,
or you need some advice on the best library to go to for your needs,
then please contact your local ATLIS library, and staff will be pleased
to help and advise you.
